There’s a great Carl Sagan quote about the written word, from his famous book “Cosmos”, that goes like this:
"A book [. . . ] One glance at it and you hear the voice of another person - perhaps someone dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, the author is speaking, clearly and silently, inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions [. . . ] proof that humans can work magic."
We aren’t dead yet, but when we go back and read e-mails exchanged amongst Tree House brethren over the past two years we are instantly transported back to a time of vibrant incarnation - a potent revival of anxiousness and excitement.
From August 1st, 2011
- Damien: ‘great things are built from modest beginnings’
- Nate: ‘sexiest things i have ever seen. take those ugly stickers off of it!’
- Dean: ‘whoa’
- Johnny: ‘it’s gettin’ real!’
"Gettin' Real"... with a keezer! Hah, how we've evolved. Damien completed our first keezer nearly two years ago now, and looking back on it today we are still connected to that moment as though it were yesterday.
More remnants of our modest beginnings are scattered about in our e-mail exchanges from the past two years. On the eve of our first brew on our new brewhouse, we've taken the time to reflect on the memories we've created here at Tree House. - The memories built on, emotion, time, effort, and camaraderie. As we move forward, we'll continue to reflect and stay true to the founding principles of Tree House Brewing Company, LLC.
We're anxiously looking forward to the journey ahead.
