On a cold February night in 2011 my wife Lauren and I ventured into Three Penny Taproom in Montpelier, Vermont looking to erase the edge from a long and impromptu road trip. We were greeted as warmly as anyone could imagine by the one and only Scott Kerner. Since that evening Scott and I have become dear friends, weaving paths between our passions, from his day spent at Tree House hanging out for our Lawson's Finest collaboration to Scott pouring us many subsequent pints at Three Penny Taproom. The latest intersection of our passions is this particular batch of Double Shot, featuring a fresh roast of Burundi Bukeye from Scott's newest and perhaps most beloved venture, Carrier Roasting. The roast, made specifically for the base beer, results in the most balanced coffee integration in Double Shot we have experienced yet. It is, in our opinion, the result of what is possible with the careful selection of ingredients and the spirit of true collaboration. We are so excited to share it with you!
