Our core double IPA! Haze is crafted with pale malt and an extreme kettle and dry hop dose of our favorite Northwest American hops. We smell a ton of peach on the nose, with complimentary notes of orange and passionfruit. The flavor is similar with a blast of citrus fruit & peach quickly followed by a bounty of tropical fruit. A lingering and pleasant saturated hop oil finish awaits. . . . A real juice bomb of a beer, and a true Tree House original.
In late 2013, we moved the entirety of our brewery from Brimfield to a small corner of a red garage in Monson over a very long, non-stop, incredibly memorable weekend. The year that followed was intensely creative and important to the development of the Tree House we know today. Until Haze, we had several Double IPA's in our arsenal but none we could brew often and present with pride on a rotational basis. We wanted to fill that need, and crafted a beer that was the culmination of our Double IPA efforts until that point.
The naming of Haze was born by chance as a large line was bearing down on our old red retail shop.
An anxious Lauren, who needed to make growler tags in advance of opening, kept bugging a grumpy, two batch deep Nate for a name for this new peachy IPA that lay before them.
"It's hazy... just call it Haze"!
And thus Haze, our double IPA was born.
As a live beer made with hand selected fresh hop varieties, we kindly ask that you keep Haze cold at all times and enjoy it fresh for the best experience.
