Ghosts of the Half Moon

A silver coin moored in the darkness

clouds dragged over its gleaming edge

their bellies emptied like slit burlap

spilling fog through the treetops pooling over the roots

until the ground is eel backed and smoke drowned

the stiff Pillars of their trunks wrapped in the cool wash

Nestled into the crook of the upturned ground

head lolling to the side he watches

the moon swing off its hinges

its hull splashing in the phosphorescence

its sails drop and swell

descending into the Forrest’s stupor

hassled only by the yips of wild dogs

their fur frayed hay bales catching the light off its wake

kidnapped under a caravan of dreamless sleep

his eyes heavy as stones roll away

the stowaway stretches his limbs into some foreign season

his mind a bobbing cork arriving on a distant shore

a cold drink cupped in a strangers hands

Ghosts of the Half-Moon was crafted from a small lot of premium wheated bourbon barrels that we filled with Space & Time in August of 2021. It has aged for over two years before being bottled in December of 2023 for your enjoyment. This special beer came together through the creativity and collaboration of many people and departments, and we are excited to finally share it with you today. Cheers!
