Hello, Antarctica

After last year's Mars location debacle—involving various building code violations, a legal battle with NASA over zoning rights, and the unfortunate stalled delivery of an oxygen purification system (oops)—we decided to set our sights somewhere a bit closer, but not *too* close.

When your uncle asks this Thanksgiving if Tree House is available in stores yet, prepare to be scorned upon replying negative. Yet then drop the knowledge bomb that we did open a fantastic new bar—in the frozen tundra of Antarctica!

As you approach this state of the art biodome you will notice a network of trails leading to various otherworldly attractions—such as the hibernating volcano “Mt. Terror”, various penguin colonies, and of course our neighbors, the Esperanza research village. Inside, you'll find a cozy, yet majestic bar made entirely of reclaimed wood from Shackleton’s sunken tall ship "The Discovery". Few breweries take the time or expense to excavate historical landmarks to craft bars out of—but Tree House is not most breweries. As far as lodging goes, we have you covered—with tents and sleeping bag rentals available, as well as down feather-lined tuxedos if you wish to spend the night among the local rookery of penguins.

The beer you are holding celebrates this ambitious chapter in Tree House history—warm your frostbitten fingers around a hefty pour of this cold-weather stout. Brewed with lactose, cocoa, peanut butter and coconut, this beer is a liquid tribute to dessert decadence. Sitting at a reasonable 7.8% ABV, you can certainly have more than one to warm your bones. We taste hot cocoa with a froth of homemade whipped cream, along with sweet toasted coconut interwoven with the coffee-like robustness of fresh roasted peanuts. Hello Antarctica contains everything you love about our world-famous stouts, lovingly crafted for the edge of world.
